Founded in 2008 by Dr. Bipin Bihari Mishra, Suryakheetra Foundation of Educational & Charitable Trust (SKFECT) is a voluntary organization operating primarily in Odisha, India. It focuses on serving the lowest strata of society, including underprivileged, destitute, deprived, and poor people. The NGO supports government social development efforts through its own staff, volunteers, local coordinators, and self-help groups.
SKFECT’s mission includes improving health, facilitating educational attainment, supporting human welfare, and promoting women’s empowerment. Its activities extend to child education, saving girls, supporting orphanages, assisting physically and mentally challenged individuals, providing employment and empowerment opportunities for women, supporting the elderly, and environmental and water conservation.
The foundation reaches remote rural areas and urban slums, aiming to serve underserved populations. Its work has been recognized by various government bodies, reflecting its commitment to social development and community support in Odisha.
